How humans really operate

Our brains are brilliant at organising our complex world into recognisable patterns, primarily for our sense of survival, security and well-being.

That feels good as it avoids new and ever-threatening ‘surprises’ – and ensures we always stay within our creative ‘comfort zone’.

As we repeatedly think in this ‘survival’ mindset we carve out deep neural pathways in our brain that become entrenched and familiar – like a regularly used network of ‘motorways’.

With our brain’s seamless ‘motorway’ system in place each successive thought becomes predictably linked to the one before.

It’s called Associative Thinking and it’s how most humans process thoughts.
