Institute for Creative Excellence

Richard is a highly-experienced creative professional who began by studying Fine Art and Graphics at St Martin’s School of Art in the 1960s before working in advertising both as an Art Director and Copywriter. He co-founded and ran his own advertising agency in London that operated successfully for over 25 years.

During that time he explored his wide-ranging passion for all things creative – including writing for television, ?lms and the theatre.

He was closely involved for nine years with an inner-city charitable trust, teaching art to persistent young offenders and Hell’s Angels, ran his own publishing company, was a Director of the Hackney Empire for several years and a personal marketing consultant to Sue Ryder and her Foundation.

For almost 30 years he has privately owned and developed a major historical site in France and, as a keen inventor, has patented product ideas both in the UK and the United States.

He is closely involved creatively with the Leanard Cheshire Foundation and a leading street children charity as well as acting as a consultant for the groundbreaking Man Mela Theatre Company.

He has studied at length all the great experts of creativity, and, building on them, has created and developed these unique and revolutionary CreativEvolution Workshops over the past decade.

He is now committed, with the founding of The Institute for Creative Excellence to promote the increased understanding and positive expression of creativity and innovation to helping transform some of today's key problems into vital and innovative answers.
